This Privacy Policy applies to visitors, customers, associates, and vendors using Thunder EV Charging Hub websites, portals, and communication channels.
2. Data we collect
- Identity & contact: name, email, phone, billing/shipping address, GSTIN (for B2B).
- Account data: login identifiers, password hashes (never plain-text passwords).
- Transaction data: order history, quotes, payment status (not full card/UPI details).
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, device information, cookies for session and security.
- Project planning: site details you provide for AI feasibility and commercial proposals.
3. How we use data
- Process orders, payments, deliveries, and installation coordination.
- Send OTPs, order updates, invoices, and support communications.
- Verify associates and prevent fraud.
- Improve platform performance and comply with legal obligations.
4. Payment information handling
Online payments are processed by RBI-authorised payment aggregators (e.g. Razorpay, Cashfree, PayU). Card, UPI, net-banking, and wallet credentials are entered on the payment partner's PCI-DSS compliant interface. Thunder EV receives payment status, transaction IDs, and masked identifiers only — not full card numbers, CVV, or UPI PINs.
5. Cookies & similar technologies
- Essential cookies: session authentication, cart persistence, security tokens.
- Functional cookies: preferences such as mobile/desktop mode.
- Analytics (if enabled): aggregated usage metrics to improve performance; no sale of personal data.
You may disable non-essential cookies in your browser; core checkout features may be affected.
6. Analytics & performance
We may use first-party logs and privacy-conscious analytics to monitor errors, page load, and conversion funnels. Data is aggregated where possible and retained per our retention schedule.
7. Third-party services
We share necessary data with:
- Fulfilment Associates — name, phone, delivery address, order lines.
- Payment gateways — transaction processing (see §4).
- Communication providers — SMS, WhatsApp Cloud API, SMTP email for OTP and order updates.
- Cloud hosting — infrastructure providers under confidentiality agreements.
- Legal/regulatory — when required by court order or applicable Indian law.
We do not sell personal data to third-party marketers.
8. Data retention
We retain personal data while your account is active and as required for tax, audit, fraud prevention, and legal compliance (typically up to 8 years for financial records under Indian tax law). Anonymised analytics may be retained longer.
9. Security measures
HTTPS encryption, bcrypt password hashing, role-based access, JWT session controls, and audit logging for admin actions. No transmission method is 100% secure — protect your credentials.
10. Your rights
Subject to the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, or grievance redressal by emailing info@thunderevhub.com. We respond within reasonable timelines prescribed by law.
